14-Day Window

New subscribers get a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of first payment.

No Questions Asked

If you're not satisfied within 14 days, we'll refund you — no lengthy explanations needed.

5–7 Business Days

Approved refunds are credited back to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.

Overview

SmallPDF.us offers optional paid subscription plans — Starter, Pro, and Agency — to unlock higher limits and premium features. We stand behind the quality of our service and offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers.

This policy applies to all paid plans purchased on SmallPDF.us. Free-tier users are not affected — free tools remain free and are not subject to any billing.

Refund eligibility is determined at the time of the request. Please read the eligible and ineligible sections below before submitting a request.

When You Are Eligible for a Refund

You qualify for a full refund if all of the following conditions are met:

You subscribed for the first time (first-time subscriber only)
You are requesting within 14 days of your initial payment date
You have processed fewer than 20 files using paid-plan features
Your account is in good standing (not suspended or banned for abuse)

When You Are NOT Eligible for a Refund

Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:

Refund requests submitted more than 14 days after the payment date
Renewal payments (second month/year onwards — plan already active)
Accounts that have significantly used paid features (20+ files processed)
Accounts suspended or terminated for violation of our Terms of Service
Requests citing dissatisfaction with free-tier tools (those remain free)
Partial refunds for unused days — plans are sold as full billing periods

How to Request a Refund

Found in your payment confirmation email from Razorpay (India) or Paddle (international).

Refund Processing Timeline

Day 1–2

Request reviewed

We review your request and confirm eligibility. You'll receive an email within 2 business days.

Day 2–3

Refund initiated

If approved, we initiate the refund through Razorpay (India) or Paddle (international).

Day 5–10

Credit to your account

Funds appear in your original payment method (card, UPI, bank account, or Paddle-supported payment method). Bank timelines vary.

International Payments (USD / Paddle)

International plans are billed in USD and managed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or annually until cancelled.

Refund Eligibility

Same 14-day window applies. Eligible conditions are identical to India plans.

Refund Method

Refunded via Paddle to your original payment method (card or other supported method) used at checkout. Currency: USD.

Note: Paddle may apply its own processing delays. Typically 3–5 business days after we initiate the refund.

Cancellation Policy

India Plans (INR — Auto-renewing)

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard under Settings → Subscription. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle. No pro-rated refunds are issued for the remaining days after cancellation.

International Plans (USD — Auto-renewing)

International plans auto-renew monthly or annually via Paddle until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard under Settings → Subscription, or via the Paddle billing portal link in your payment confirmation email. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle. No pro-rated refunds are issued for remaining days after cancellation.
